The Diabetes
Programs include a 4 month program
designed to help individuals with
insulin resistance syndrome or with
diabetes to learn to exercise correctly
and adopt healthy dietary choices. |
At CHIP, we
seek to provide you with the tools to
exercise safely and effectively in an
environment that includes support and
counseling. |

long-term change to a healthy lifestyle |

The Program includes:
• Private consult of 1,5
hour to plan your individualised, safe
and effective program
• 36 supervised exercise session 2 to 3
times per week supervised by our
kinesiologists
• Pre and Post computerized
cardiovascular age and risk assessment
prior to the
start of the program and at the
end to assess your risk of developing
developing
cardiovascular disease.
• Blood sugar monitoring to measure
glucose levels before and after each
exercise
session
• Development of an independent exercise
strategy to teach you how to exercise
on your own when the program
finishes
• Dietician consultations on-site, once
a month, over the four-month program (a
total of 2.5 hours)
• Access to the myhealthcheckup.ca
ehealth site to track your progress
SCHEDULE: one hour classes are
offered on Monday, Wednesday, and
Friday with a ratio of 8 participants
for 1 kinesiologist |

All our supervised programs start with a medical
evaluation and a stress test if needed. Follow-ups for
1 year upon completion of program are also available.
All medical visits are covered by RAMQ.
